The journey began as a proprietorship entity under the name ‘M/s. Anusaya Shinde’ and later in 1973 the company name changed to ‘VRS Fruits’. Anusaya Fresh has its Head office in APMC market, Navi Mumbai, India. The HO is also supported by a cold storage and packaging facility. The Indian operations extend in Delhi and Bangalore where the company has office, cold storage and pack house. It has representative staff in Chennai and Kolkata but the company caters to the clients in others cities of India very comfortably due to a robust logistics network. Anusaya Fresh is also present in the USA, Thailand, Middle-East and Europe.
The procurement of the fresh vegetable & fruits in India is done through contract farming as well as through wholesalers. The in-house team of experts as and professionals are employed to train and supervise the contract farms and to keep a meticulous check throughout the crop cycle. Simultaneously strict quality inspection is carried out on the procurement from wholesalers to ensure the approved quality standards set by Anusaya Fresh. The Indian exports are directed towards the Middle East countries and south-east Asian countries. The imports are done from USA, Thailand, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and China. Frozen Fruits are imported from American and European Countries.
The imports and exports of fruits, vegetables & flowers are carried out of the sea and air ports of Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata ports of India. The company has tied up with the best in the business when it comes to logistics management (Sea, Air and Road). Customized packaging is done for retailers and super markets accounting their special needs. For transport between cities or countries, freight-efficient packaging is done to ensure that the client receives fresh and impeccable produce.
The company is actively doing trade and media promotions of Avocados in India in association with Avanza New Zealand. The promotion activities cover free sampling and tasting sessions for customers of super markets and trade promotions like mechanizing activities for the counter staff in the super markets and retail outlets. In association with US Blue Berry Council, Anusuya Fresh is also pushing the blue berry category through promotions in India.
